Turku Islamic Society: migrating and taking over an existing WordPress site
We migrated the website of the Turku Islamic Society, which looks after Turku Mosque in Finland, and took over the management of its existing WordPress site. The society now has one team responsible for the site and its upkeep.
About Turku Islamic Society
The Turku Islamic Society (Turun Islamilainen Yhdyskunta) is a not-for-profit voluntary organisation that has served Turku since 1992. It looks after Turku Mosque and provides services ranging from weddings and funerals to Arabic education and mosque tours.
The challenge
The society’s website ran on an existing WordPress installation that needed moving to a new home, and someone to take responsibility for it afterwards.
What we did
- Website migration
- Moved the website to a new, maintained home, keeping its content intact.
- Took over management
- Took responsibility for the existing WordPress site: access, updates and day-to-day upkeep.
Outcome
The society’s website now sits on a maintained setup, with one team responsible for it.
